WVKC Staff

The Crew

Kyle is currently in his second year as General Manager for WVKC, and has worked for the radio station since the first week of his freshman year. Outside of WVKC Kyle has played in various bands and set up DIY shows. Kyle is currently in his senior year at Knox as a Secondary Ed and Creative writing major, and in the future hopes to teach Middle School English and continue working in radio as an oldies DJ. Meat is murder, smash the state, punk is dead, etc. If you have any questions about WVKC or Bruce Springsteen you can e-mail kyle at kahall@knox.edu
Emma is the General Manager; a butt-kicking vegetarian, as well as an aspiring artist and human/animal rights activist from the Chicago suburb of Oak Park. She's got two especially beloved animals in her life; Jonathan the black cat and Miss Bones the shepherd/beagle pup. Emma would also like to to acknowledge the vast appreciation she feels way deep down inside for her friends, family, teachers, and fellow WVKC staff members. This is Emma's first year on staff even though she's been DJ-ing in the station since she arrived on campus more than three years ago. She's looking forward to an unprecedentedly fun and moving year in Galesburg! Emma is expecting to graduate in June 2017.

Luke is the current Programming Director for WVKC. Luke: "I enjoy playing guitar, writing poems and eating sushi. I've recently been into organizing things and helping people. My favorite album is not In the Aeroplane Over the Sea although I don't dislike it either."
Eli's the Events Coordinator for WVKC. Eli has only this to say:

Hello! It's Justin Bell. I am a sophomore from the grand land of the suburbs of Chicago. I am happy to be here as your recording studio engineer for WVKC this year. I work for you and will do my best to make your art absolutely beautiful through production. Contact me if you have any desire to use the recording studio and its equipment. I am working towards making the recording studio known to campus and increasing its capabilities to be able to record bands, solo artists, and more.

It is Carmen's second year as the PR and all-around-art-lady here at WVKC. My job is the most fun. The radio is the not-so-secret club house of the Knox College campus (come hang out!).

Items on my wishlist include: stickers galore, every Lynda Barry book published, cast iron skillet. Will CAPTCHA your heart.
