Ranked #6 in the nation’s college radio stations by The Princeton Review’s annual college guide, “The Best 376 Colleges: The 2012 Edition,” WVKC, Knox College’s own station, allows students to learn the basics of being on the air.

About WVKC, The Voice of Knox College

-WVKC is located on the top floor of George Davis Hall, an academic building on the Knox campus.
-WVKC is always a commercial-free station.
-You can broadcast to Knox College, the Galesburg community, and worldwide.

The station is equipped with a turntable, a music library, CD player, and the means to broadcast music from any format, be it a cassette, an iPod, or a record.

When you become a part of WVKC, you can host your own radio show each term, either solo or with friends. In a station with comfortable chairs, a lounge, and a set-up for at least two hosts at a time. The WVKC studios can be a great place to relax and listen to music with friends after a long day of class.
